USA Water Ski Nationals to Be Hosted in Minnesota
If you’re a water skier, a lifelong lake lover, or someone who dreams about cutting glass-smooth water on a summer morning, you know there’s nothing quite like the feeling. The pull of the rope as you set the edge of the ski across the wake and everything else fades away.
Now imagine that — but multiplied by hundreds of the best skiers in the country, all gathered in one place. That’s what’s coming to Minnesota this year as the USA Water Ski Nationals makes its way north.
At Midwest Water Sports, home of WaterSkis.com, we know this event means more than just competition. It’s a celebration of our community — from first-time skiers to world-class athletes — all brought together by a shared love of the sport.
Each summer, hundreds of the nation’s best skiers gather to compete in slalom, trick, and jump events — pushing the limits of precision, power, and performance.
Hosted by USA Water Ski, the governing body for the sport, the Nationals brings together skiers of all ages — from junior competitors to seasoned pros. It’s where national titles are earned and legacies are made.
For those new to competitive skiing, here’s a quick snapshot:
Slalom tests control and agility as skiers weave through a course of buoys at increasing speeds.
Trick skiing showcases creativity and skill, with athletes performing spins, flips, and turns.
Jump is all about distance — skiers fly off a ramp, trying to soar farther than anyone else.
It’s fast, technical, and absolutely thrilling to watch. And this year, it’s coming to the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
The USA Water Ski Nationals in Minnesota will be more than just a competition — it’s a testament to how deeply this sport connects people, communities, and generations.
Whether you’re competing, cheering, or simply soaking up the sun, you’ll leave inspired — maybe even with a new dream to chase your next buoy.
And when that happens, we’ll be here at Midwest Water Sports and WaterSkis.com, ready to help you make it happen — one perfect pull at a time.
Since we just got the news, we will give more details once they come in. What we know right now, is it will be held from August 9th through August 15th 2026. The event site is tentatively planned for Trophy Lake Estates, in Center City.
